Mike Gurowski
Mike Gurowski is the Founder of Monroe Benefits Advisory and a recognized employee benefits leader with more than 35 years of industry experience. After a successful 24-year career with MassMutual, where he earned Agent of the Year honors for eight consecutive years, Mike founded Titan Insurance and Employee Benefits Agency in 2006. He later served as Managing Partner of U.S. Employee Benefits Services Group and most recently as Vice President and Director of Employee Benefits at Morgenstern Insurance.
A dedicated community leader, Mike has served on the boards of the Small Business Council of Rochester and the Rochester Broadway Theatre League and has volunteered with Meals on Wheels for the past five years.
Unlike many advisors who focus solely on insurance products, Mike takes a consultative approach, working closely with business owners and leadership teams to design benefits programs that align with organizational goals, control costs, improve employee retention, and enhance workforce satisfaction. His extensive industry relationships, deep understanding of the healthcare marketplace, and proven ability to identify innovative solutions enable clients to make informed decisions in an increasingly complex benefits environment.

Shannon Birch, MPS
Shannon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Employment Relations, which have provided a strong foundation for understanding people, workplace dynamics, and organizational success.
She brings 15 years of Human Resources experience, with a well-rounded background across all areas of HR. Throughout her career, she has partnered with leaders and employees to support talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, employee engagement, compliance, benefits, compensation, training and development, and organizational effectiveness. She is passionate about creating positive employee experiences while helping organizations achieve their strategic goals.
Her combination of education, extensive HR expertise, and people-focused approach allows her to build strong relationships, solve complex challenges, and contribute to workplace cultures where both employees and organizations can thrive.
